Licensed psychotherapist with an MSW from Columbia University, Lindsay works with: children, adolescents and their families to improve commnication and strengthen relationships; children and sdolescents who have been diagnosed with A.D.H.D. or autistic spectrum disorders; families who have adopted children to address attachment issues and strengthen family bonds; individuals who have experienced trauma including physical, sexual or emotional abuse and are suffering from feelings of depression, anxieth or post traumatic stress
Through play therapy, therapeutic story telling and therapeutic board games, Ms. Koskien assists children in the exploration of thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Personalized social stories are utilized to help children on the autistic spectrum gain more insight into the thoughts, feelings and reactions of their peers. Ms. Koskien has many years of experience as chairperson of a child study team. She is an advocate for children and is knowledgeable of New Jersey State Administrative Code. Ms. Koskien works with parents and their local school district to share information and assist in the provision of supports both at home and at school.
