Karen Sussan bring compassion into work with individuals, couples, families and groups who are seeking her assistance through psychotherapy. Trained as a pastoral psychotherapist at the Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute, a certified Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, she now has well over a decade of experience helping people of all faiths and cultures improve their lives through counseling and psychotherapy.
She has helped many people make transitions in life and undergo a variety of transformations in work, relationships, and self-understanding. She has assisted people with loss, grief, career moves, premarital issues, identity problems and low self-esteem as well as anxiety and depression.
She also serves as a chaplain and is a clinical member of various chaplaincy organizations. She received her Master of Hebrew Letters and the title “Teacher in Israel” from the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. She earned her B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago.
At the Creative Living Counseling Center, she leads STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) workshops for parents of children at various stages of development.
